The upcoming renewal is June 30, 2018; all “guard cards” renew on the same date.

This will be an administrative renewal, no continuing education class will be required prior to the 2018 renewal.

The renewal fee, paid to the DCCA is $106.00.  Once renewed, the “guard card” will be valid for 3 years (until June 30, 2021).

The renewal period will start in the first week of May, 2018.  The renewal period ends at midnight, June 30, 2018.

Once the renewal period starts, renewal can be done online.  This is the preferred way to do the renewal.  You will need access to your MYPVL account (or create one if you don’t already have one).  The alternative is to request a renewal form from the DCCA and submit it to the DCCA office.

No online late renewals.  If the registration is not renewed by midnight, June 30, 2018 hard copy restoration form must be requested from the DCCA and a late renewal fee will be added to the cost.  A person has one-year to file as a late renewal, after that they must file as a new applicant.

The DCCA will mail out postcards sometime in April, 2018 with the information on how to renew your guard/guard employee registration and the website for online renewal to the address they have on record for you.
