The Last Biennial Renewal of GD & GDE registrations ended June 30, 2018
If you did not renew on time (by June 30, 2018) you’re registration is expired and is not valid to work as a guard or in a guard capacity.
A person has one-year (until June 30, 2019) to file as a late renewal, after that they must file as a new applicant (i.e. expired June 30, 2016 or prior). Restoration of your “guard card” can be done by filing as a late applicant with the DCCA and paying the renewal and late renewal fees. A person does not need to attend either the 8-hour Initial or 4-hour Continuing Education class to restore the license as a 2018 late renewal.
TO SUBMIT A LATE RENEWAL APPLICATION CONTACT THE DCCA-PVL AT 808-586-3000 or go to 335 Merchant St. Room 301.
Transcend Inc. does not have the renewal form or ability to obtain the form for you.
The Next Renewal Deadline Will Be June 30, 2021
This will be a triennial renewal (good until June 30, 2024). Prior to the June 30, 2021 renewal, applicants must complete a Board approved 4-hour Continuing Education course.
THE TRANSCEND INC. 4-HOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE IS THE FIRST COURSE APPROVED BY THE BOARD FOR THE 2021 GDE RENEWAL AND IS THE “GOLD STANDARD” FOR ALL OTHER CURRICULUM DEVELOPERS.
WE WILL BEGIN OFFERING THIS COURSE IN 2019; THE COURSE DATES WILL BE LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE ONCE SCHEDULED.
