The upcoming renewal is June 30, 2018; all “guard cards” renew on the same date.

This year is an administrative renewal, no continuing education class will be required prior to the 2018 renewal.

The renewal fee, paid to the DCCA is $106.00.  Once renewed, the “guard card” will be valid for 3 years (until June 30, 2021).

The renewal period started May 7, 2018 and ends at midnight, June 30, 2018.

Renewal can be done onlineThis is the preferred way to do the renewal.

  • Login to your “MYPVL” account.  If you don’t have an account sign-up for a free account at pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl
  • Select your already linked license or Find your license by entering your license type (GDE), license number and last 4 digits of your SSN, or the file number from the postcard received from the DCCA/PVL
  • Select “Renew” and follow the online instructions, answer the questions & make payment online.

No online late renewals.  If the registration is not renewed by midnight, June 30, 2018 hard copy restoration form must be requested from the DCCA and a late renewal fee will be added to the cost.  A person has one-year to file as a late renewal, after that they must file as a new applicant.
