ONLINE INITIAL SECURITY GUARD INSTRUCTION CLASS

ALL CLASSES ARE SCHEDULED 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Initial Security Guard Instruction class must be completed before submitting your application for your GDE License (guard card). This is a one-day class conducted online using ZOOM. We advise you to read “How To Get A Guard Card” under the Helpful Info tab before registering; then scroll this page, select a class date, complete the application, and make payment.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – CLASS REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the online class requires a computer (desktop/laptop/pad/notebook) with video camera, speaker, and microphone (headset ok). Because of the amount of on-screen information cell/smart phones cannot be used to take the class, the screen is just too small. You must have a stable internet connection, and the ability to access the website wayground.com/join. For Organizations with group attendees; each attendee must have a separate computer/device in order to take online tests.

Registration is a two-step process. (1) Select a class date, sign-up and pay for the class. About 3-4 days prior to the class we will email a Zoom Registration link. (2) Use that link to register in Zoom and receive information to access the class.

IMPORTANT! BEFORE SELECTING, READ THE "PREMIUM SERVICE OPTION INFO" (TAB AT TOP OF HOME PAGE) The Premium Service Package includes the ISGI class, payment for and assistance in scheduling the mandatory fingerprinting, submission and payment of the GDE Registration application, and our service fees. You will need to stay online with the Instructor after the class to schedule your fingerprint appointment, and complete our authorization and information forms. If you have a criminal conviction, or are suffering from a psychiatric or psychological disorder, you will need to provide additional documents in order for us to submit your application to the State of Hawaii. THE PREMIUM SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE ON MOLOKAI OR LANAI.

By selecting the Premium Service Package I authorize Transcend Inc. and its agents to create or access my State of Hawaii MYPVL account and enter information and attestations and to submit a Guard Employee Registration form for me including entering/signing my name on my behalf. I agree that I am responsible for the accuracy of information and attestations I provide. I understand Transcend Inc's service ends once the application is submitted to the DCCA and does not guarantee I will be issued a GDE license. I am responsible to monitor my application status, and to respond directly to the DCCA for any discrepancies, additional information, or responses they may require other than corrections needed due to our error.

No guarantee is made regarding the receipt or renewal of any license or employment status. Neither Transcend Inc. or Instructors are responsible for my use of information provided, nor my competency, actions, or inactions in any context. Transcend Inc. and Instructors are not responsible nor liable for issues related to internet usage, including information of my attendance at class being publicly available. I am aware that Transcend Inc. may record in whole or in part online class sessions to be used for marketing and professional purposes and that my attendance, image, and participation may be shown.
REFUNDS, CANCELLATION, “NO SHOW”, and PREMIUM SERVICE REFUND POLICY*

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before class may receive a full refund or reschedule at no additional cost. Cancellations within 24 hours of class, or “No Show” at class, including late login attempts, may reschedule with an additional $25 fee or receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee. For Premium Service: If we cannot submit your GDE Application within 60 days of the class date due to missing documents or incomplete fingerprinting, your Premium Service will expire without a refund. We do not pro-rate the payment if you pay for any of the services on your own. Once we submit your GDE application, you are responsible for any communication about your application from the DCCA. If there is a deficiency (other than an input error on our part) or they require additional information or documentation you will be responsible to respond and provide the documents directly to the DCCA. If you took the Initial Guard Card class in error and the DCCA rejects your application, we may refund the class fee. However, our service fee is non-refundable and we cannot refund the fees paid by us to DCCA and Fieldprint, you may wish to contact the DCCA and Fieldprint to inquire about any refunds.
